We’re thrilled to congratulate Karl, a remarkable 3-year-old colt who won the $1,050,000 Hambletonian at the Meadowlands on August 3rd!
Trained by Nancy Takter, who continued her family’s Hambletonian legacy, and driven by Hall of Fame driver Yannick Gingras, Karl closed powerfully in the stretch to defeat Highland Kismet by a length, securing Gingras’s first victory in the prestigious trotting event after 11 attempts. The win marks Karl’s 15th in 17 starts, adding to his accolades as last season’s Dan Patch Award winner.
Karl is among the many horses that benefit from the ECB Equine Spa, utilizing cold salt hydrotherapy as part of their routine. This therapy helps support lower limb recovery, increase mobility, and manage swelling before and after competitions.
