Hot Studs
Cotswold Life, December 2005
Top eventer William Fox-Pitt is well known for his riding skills but is soon to be seen in a completely different light in a new calendar as he bares all for charity.
Along with other riders, grooms and top trainers, William has shed his usual riding gear and poses naked in a variety of different poses.
The calendar will raise money for two good causes - Cancer Research UK and the Injured Jockeys Fund.
It was the brainchild of Sarah and Ean Branston who run the Gloucestershire based company ECB Equine ltd which supplies hydrotherapy units for horses to racehorse trainers and rehab centres worldwide. The Branstons decided to put something back by persuading their customers to pose for the unique calendar.

Studs crop up with little on
Gloucestershire Echo, Monday, October 17th, 2005.
Studs have ditched their breeches and bared nearly all for a charity calendar.
Riders, grooms, trainers and eventers showed off their true form.
They were persuaded to pose by Sarah and Ean Branston, who started the first cold water hydrotherapy unit for horses in England at Bourton Hill Farm four years ago.
The launch of The Centre for Natural Equine Therapy and the ECB Equine Spa, near Bourton on the Water, has been a huge success. The Branstons have sold 65 spas worldwide to racehourse trainers. They decided to put something back by asking some of the male customers to pose for two good causes. Proceeds will be split between Cancer Research and the Injured Jockeys Fund.
The biggest coup was getting Britain’s top eventer William Fox-Pitt and fellow star performers Henry Macenzie-Green and Charlie Bosanquet to pose. Also stripping is the centres Office Manager Richard Norden and Head Lad Russell Guire. Richard, 30, alias Mr. September, said: “I can’t believe I’ve done it. I’m sitting on the spa with nothing on but a pair of riding boots. I’ve got a riding crop in my mouth and I’m covering my bits with a horse hat.
“The calendar’s just a bit of fun with people doing incredibly silly poses. We hope it won’t offend anybody unless they don’t like bottoms – and there’s only one exposed.”
The black and white calendar is on sale at ECB for £6, plus £1 post and packing. For further details contact Richard on 01451 822969.
