Tom Paddington Jumps to the Test

                                                                                     Winter 2003

The Centres past super star Tom Paddington produced another fine win, this time back over hurdles for trainer Hughie Morrison's yard and owner Mary Wilson.

Tom Paddington out ran all the field in the Hennessy Cognac Hurdle at Newbury on the 30th November 2003, after a 1,752 day absence from the National Hunt scene.

Tom was produced superbly from a patient ride at the back of the field. When asked to go on his response of speed and stamina surpassed all his competitors.

Tom first came to The Centre for treatment of a possibly fatal injury, progressed to pre-training with us and then returned to trainer Hughie Morrison to re-start his racing career on the flat. It was at this point you may remember that Tom went on to defy his past injury to win first time out at Newbury, October 2002. Since then Tom has only returned to The Centre for preventative treatment during his racing breaks.
