2006 Espom Derby

The Epsom Derby has always been one of Englands favourite meets. With high fashion, usually good weather and a great turn out of punters. This year was no exception.
The field had horses from many yards with ECB's equine spa. Godolphin, Ballydoyle, Jeremy Noseda and of course Marcus Tregoning. The latter being the hero of the day with his colt Sir Percy.
Sir Percy won
the Group I, English Vodafone Derby (2400m) by a short head, but it was enough to take the title and make Marcus a very happy man.
“He’s a streetfighter and a battler and every credit to the horse. This is a huge day for me, my family and the team and I’d particularly like to thank my principal owner Sheikh Hamdan, who has always been so interested in what’s happened with this horse."
Just prior to the start of the race BBC 1 showed a small feature on Sir Percy coming out of the ECB spa. Sir Percy is an avid user of the ECB Equine Spa and we would like to extend our congratualtions to all involved.
